Through this notice, the FOUNDATION EMPRESA UNIVERSIDAD GALLEGA – hereinafter FEUGA – informs the USERS of the PLATFORM www.climalact.es (hereinafter PLATFORM) about its personal data protection policy so that USERS can freely and voluntarily decide whether to provide FEUGA with the personal data that may be required or that may be obtained from users upon subscribing or registering for any of the services offered by FEUGA on or through the PLATFORM.

The applicable regulations impose a series of obligations and also establish the rights of individuals regarding the protection of personal data. To properly understand and, where appropriate, exercise the rights that may correspond to them, it is necessary for the USER to carefully read this notice.

FEUGA reserves the right to modify this notice to adapt it to legislative or jurisprudential developments, as well as changes in industry practices. In such cases, USERS will be duly notified of any changes to the data protection policy and when these changes will take full effect.

The only personal data that FEUGA will have access to are those voluntarily provided by the USER. In this regard, the USER should be aware that for registration and sign-up on the PLATFORM, personal data will be required. Some of this data is absolutely necessary to access the PLATFORM and enjoy certain services and content. Therefore, in cases where the USER is explicitly informed about certain data, if they do not provide them, they will not be able to access or use certain services and content.

Regarding the personal data provided by the USER, they may only be processed and transferred in the manner and for the purposes established and expressly authorized by the USER. For this purpose, the mentioned data will be incorporated into a file owned and managed by FEUGA.

The purpose of collecting, processing, and transferring the personal data provided by the USER to FEUGA is to carry out all activities related to the PLATFORM, particularly the management, development, administration, provision, updating, customization, and improvement of the services and content used by the USER, the statistical study of services and content usage, and the USER’s preferences and tastes.

Furthermore, as part of the aforementioned development and progress of PLATFORM activities, questionnaires, information, notices, etc., related to Climalact, its services, and the companies providing these services through the PLATFORM, will be sent by various means. Regarding surveys and forms, sending them to USERS does not imply any obligation or commitment on the part of the USERS to respond.

The legal basis for processing includes FEUGA’s legitimate interest (concerning communications about the foundation’s activities and the functioning of the website and its applications); the agreement or subscription of services (and their management, including processes such as payments and billing); and the consent granted for the specific case (which can be withdrawn, which would prevent the continuation of the processing). User information may also be used to comply with FEUGA’s various legal obligations.

In compliance with current regulations, FEUGA has implemented the necessary measures and techniques to maintain the required security level based on the personal data processed. Additionally, FEUGA has the necessary means to prevent unauthorized access, theft, unlawful modifications, and data loss as much as possible. However, the USER must be informed and warned through this notice that such means are not infallible and impenetrable, and therefore FEUGA cannot be held responsible for such practices.

The USER has the rights to access, rectify, delete, limit, oppose, and request portability of their personal data, which may be exercised in writing by sending a letter to: FEUGA, Rúa Lope Gómez de Marzoa s/n (Campus Vida), 15705 Santiago de Compostela; or via email to: feuga@feuga.es, with “Privacy Policy” visibly indicated, and a copy of their ID attached.

At any time when personal data is requested from the USER through the PLATFORM, access to the information collected in the Privacy Policy will be provided.

The data will be kept for as long as necessary for the uses and provision of the contracted or subscribed services and, in relation to sending information about Climalact activities, until the USER requests the cessation of such communications (this can be done by sending a message to feuga@feuga.es).

For specific operations, such as enrolling in courses, scholarship programs, or other training actions, explicit consent for the processing of their data will be required by activating the relevant checkbox in the forms that appear or are downloaded.

The consent granted can be withdrawn at any time by sending a message to feuga@feuga.es. Additionally, the USER may file a complaint with the data protection authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency) if they consider their data has been improperly processed.
