Climalact

Results

The results to be achieved by the CLIMALACT project are as follows:

1. Characterization of typologies or management models of farms based on the selection of sustainable best practices that contribute to climate neutrality.
2. Characterization of typologies or logistics models of milk value chains (local, national, and international) based on the selection of sustainable best practices that contribute to climate neutrality.
3. Selection of sustainability indicators—productive, environmental, and social—associated with the typologies of farms and value chains in Asturias and Galicia, intended for farmers and intermediaries.
4. Development of an integrated index of the results from the indicators, adapted to each region, in order to quantify their relevance for managers and provide information to farmers.
5. Development of a climate neutrality measurement protocol associated with the typologies of the CLIMALACT brand.
6. Development of a software application with an interface for farmers, intermediaries, processors, and CAP processors, enabling the establishment of limits within the food chain and calculating the degree of sustainability and neutrality of practices on the farm and value chain, while suggesting improvement options to align with the requirements of the CLIMALACT brand.
7. List of recommendations for CAP measures related to promoting land management and value chain improvement through the CLIMALACT brand.
